We are a ragtag bunch of bandidos. The Strangeness are here to save rock and roll. The Strangeness will have a lot of fun along the way whether they succeed or not.

The Strangeness is a lo-fi, lo-budge garage punk outfit from Manila. Collectively, they also have better music taste than you.

The Strangeness is also the name of a low-budget horror film that none of the members have seen as of yet. Fuck you, the name’s rad as fuck.

This is the cherry on top of an awesome year.

Thanks to QLE Awards for naming “Jesus Camp” as the Best EP of 2011! Holy shit, man. This feels great! A million thanks to our friends who supported us! To Kathy and Joey of Wide Eyed Records for producing the EP! The engineers of Love One Another Studios for making us sound so cool!

There’s loads of people to thank from the lovely Mei Bastes to the Benedicto siblings for putting up great shows this year (which lead to you guys probably knowing who we are). The great bands and people we’ve met with ever show! But seriously, everyone, great job.

WE <3 YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU.

“The Strangeness’ debut effort is a nice, modest treat for music fans who dig the aforementioned groups, as well as aesthetically similar acts like Mudhoney, The Vaselines, Beat Happening, The Make Up, and other garage/punk/indie rock & rollers who listened obssessively to Lou Reed and/or Iggy Pop.” - Jason Caballa
